Motorola and Gameloft Demonstrate Color Mobile Games at E3

Motorola i90c and i95cl Handsets Offer Robust Entertainment Choices Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) and Gameloft (Euroclear 7960), a leading global publisher of video games for mobile devices, today announced they have signed a distribution agreement to make Gameloft’s mobile gaming titles available for users of Java(TM) technology-enabled phones from Motorola. The companies will demonstrate these games in the Gameloft/Ubi Soft booth (#724) at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) May 22-24 in Los Angeles. The companies will demonstrate the game Siberian Strike on the new Motorola i95cl color-display handset and the games Rotomino’s Box and Star Fighter on the Motorola i90c handset. Siberian Strike is a World War II-themed simulation game that allows players to choose between two planes equipped with secret weapons. Players’ flying skills are tested by Soviet cannons, tanks, battleships, and planes.

Rotomino’s Box is a challenging puzzle game with an original story about a mysterious box belonging to an old sorcerer. Players must think and act fast to complete each level of the puzzle and rescue the sorcerer’s assistant, who has become trapped inside the box. Star Fighter (working title) is Gameloft’s first 3D Java game. In this action-packed game, the player is an Air Force pilot whose mission is to combat alien life on four different planets.

Nokia Game wraps up with a musical grand finale

Nokia Game finished on Friday, 29 November with an exciting musical finale. This year, the theme was the ins and outs of the music industry. Players took on the role of a start-up music band that tries to become famous as soons as possible and release their first single via a multimedia message (MMS) to mobile phones. Using “Fames”, the Nokia Game currency, players were able to buy the necessary Assets, such as Studios, Composers or PR Agencies, to enable them to become famous.
In addition, several online games gave players the chance to show off their skills and gain valuable experience for the final.“This year’s Nokia Game was a huge success with over one million players registered. And the collaborative spirit of previous years was present again, with players connecting, competing and collaborating to reach the finals, ” said Pekka Rantala, Vice President, Marketing Services, Nokia Mobile Phones. “A big thank you to all of the players who took part this year. Ericsson To Host Multimedia Services For Cellular One From Dobson Cellular Systems In The US

Cellular One from Dobson Cellular Systems, a subsidiary of Dobson Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:DCEL) and Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), the world’s leading telecommunications supplier, today announced they have signed two contracts for hosted multimedia services: AnswerTunes, a ringback tones service and content downloads.

The new service AnswerTunes allows Dobson customers in more than 70 wireless markets to choose from a catalog of thousands of songs to replace the traditional ring heard by callers when they dial a number. On top of that they will also have access to a huge catalogue of content, including ringtones, games, images and video clips to download to their phones. The contracts are the third and fourth managed services hosting contracts Ericsson has been awarded by Dobson Cellular Systems since 2006.

Ericsson also provides Dobson with a hosted prepaid real time charging service including content and game downloads as well as Napster Mobile. The ringback tones service will be hosted on Ericsson’s innovative Service Delivery Platform (SDP). Thomas K. Roberts, Chief Marketing Officer for Cellular One, says: “We are pleased to partner with Ericsson to deliver AnswerTunes and downloadable content to our customer base.

Offering subscribers a wide array of value-added services has been a key differentiator for Cellular One.”Ericsson is providing an end-to-end ringback service, which includes systems integration, hosting and managing the day-to-day operations of the service.
